Chris Booher
Piano Instructor
Chris Booher has fascinated and inspired many well known and upcoming pianists and other musicians with his innovative and versatile artistry on the piano. After performing for more than 3 years with Asleep at the Wheel, as well as other country and swing bands, Chris opened his own recording studio, Patriot Recording, near Fort Worth, Texas. Chris has been awarded two Grammys and "Label of the Year" award for Patriot Records. Chris now teaches private music lessons at his home near Drain, OR.



Rudi Booher
Fiddle
At 18 years of age Rudi won the 1990 National Championship at Weiser, Idaho. He has won the Oregon State Fiddle Contest 7 times, and was the First Runner-up in the Grand Master Fiddler contest in 1990 in Nashville, TN. Rudi has won many other championship titles and awards for his outstanding fiddling style. He has taught numerous music workshops throughout the U.S. (including Alaska) and in New Zealand, and has judged the national and many regional fiddle contests. Rudi is the 2010 Oregon State Fiddle Champion.



Ben Booher
Private Bass Instructor
A great singer and bass player, Ben has been playing and teaching bass for more than 18 years, and knows hundreds of old songs to go along with them. Ben will be teaching private bass/bass guitar lessons during music camp this year. This is a grand opportunity for anyone who wants to learn to become a fine bass player.



Ned Booher
Guitar Instructor
Ned spent his younger years playing and teaching rhythm guitar, with the Western Regional, Oregon State, and a few other contest fiddle backup titles to his name. For the last ten years, Ned has added praise and worship, with all its varied styles and rhythms to his repertoire. He is an excellent rhythm guitarist and vocalist. His approach to teaching is focused on how to engage others with their guitar, voice, or any other instrument they would bring to a praise and worship jam session. Traditional, Celtic, and all current church music rhythms will be explored in this class, along with song dynamics and arrangements.

Brendan Booher
Fiddle Instructor
Brendan began fiddling when he was four, and never quit! Now a superb swing and jazz player, Brendan is the lead fiddler in the Booher Brothers band. Brendan has won many awards and compliments from fiddle greats for his unique and versatile style. A patient and kind teacher, Brendan has students of all ages who come to him from various parts of Central Oregon.



Liddy Voetberg
Fiddle Instructor
A musician all of her life, Liddy Voetberg is the lead fiddle player in her family's band. A focused and well informed teacher and performer, Liddy has benefited from the instruction of prodigious instructors from across the country and has been exposed to diverse musical genres. She holds the titles of Northwest Regional and Western Open Fiddle Champion and in 2005 she placed 2nd at the National Fiddle Competition in Weiser, ID.





Jamie Conzatti
Cello Instructor
Jamie began her cello training at age 4 with the Suzuki method. Her various instructors included Naomi Blumberg, previous principle cellist of the Oregon Symphony, Master classes with world renowned cellists Daniel Muller-Schott, Renata Bratt, and Nancy Hair. Jaimie's credits include: 4 years in the Portland Youth Philharmonic, 5 years as principal cello for the Oregon Pro Arte Youth Chamber Orchestra, 6 years of Community Music Center program, and 2 years with Veritas String Quartet, (including a Master Class with the American String Quartet) Jamie is a member of the Greenerblue Bluegrass Band (including producing 2 CDs) and the Conzatti Family Band. She has acquired skill in the following instruments as well: piano, bass, mandolin, banjo and vocal training. Jamie spent the 2010-2011 school year offering music theory, choir, barbershop quartet coaching and an elementary musical to all ages K-12 at the Oaxaca Christian School, Oaxaca, Mexico.



Joe Smart
Guitar Instructor
Joe Smart began playing guitar at the young age of 8. Initially self-taught by going through a chord dictionary, he began taking guitar workshops through the Washington Old Time Fiddlers Association and playing rhythm guitar for various fiddlers. At the age of 15, Joe entered his first flatpick guitar contest after one year of flatpicking. Competing against many journeyman pickers, he took fifth place. In 2005 he went to Winfield, Kansas and won the National Flatpick Guitar Contest and from there has joined the bluegrass scene. Over the course of the last few years, Joe has released a solo album, produced and recorded on many projects, taught workshops, and continues to play with many different artists from bluegrass to rock. He also has been working on a Master Guitar Certificate from Berklee College of Music.



Karissa Lystrup
Piano Instructor
Karissa began studying music at the age of 3. An early foundation of ear training equipped her with the ability to develop remarkable improvisational skills. She has a variety of performance experience as a vocalist, pianist, organist, violinist, and choral director. Currently serving as Music Director at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Irvine, CA, she also teaches organ, piano, and fiddle to a number of students in Southern California. Karissa delights in coaching students to discover their musical intuition and ear, meanwhile communicating essential musical concepts, inspiring them towards a lifelong passion for music.
